Adani Group Tack over Gujarat Titans ?

Gautam Adani’s group eyes the Gujarat Titans since 2021. They missed out then but now talks with CVC to buy majority stake before IPL 2025.

CVC bought Gujarat Titans for ₹5,625 crore in 2021. They now negotiate with Adani and Torrent to sell. BCCI’s 2025 lock-in lift opened doors.

Adani Group Tack over Gujarat Titans ?

Adani bought WPL’s Gujarat Titans franchise for Rs 1,289 crore in 2023. They also acquired UAE-based International League T20 franchise.

Torrent Group, another Ahmedabad company, also talks with CVC for Gujarat Titans stake. They had bid ₹4,653 crore in 2021.

Under Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans won IPL trophy in debut 2022 season. This victory increased their worth considerably.

In 2021, Adani bid Rs 5,100 crore to acquire Gujarat Titans. But CVC’s Irelia Sports outbid to acquire the team.

Under Shubman Gill’s captaincy, Gujarat Titans have become one of the strongest teams in the tournament. The franchise’s future remains a focal point in India’s sports and business landscape as discussions unfold between Gautam Adani and CVC Capital Partners.

As the lock-in period set by the BCCI ends in February 2025, the Gujarat Titans ownership is up for grabs. The Adani Group’s potential acquisition of the franchise could mark a new chapter in the team’s history and the IPL as a whole.
