India won the 3rd and final match against Sri Lanka in the Super Over and completed the T20I series by defeating Sri Lanka 3-0. India has given a Whitewash to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first. And there were changes in both the teams with Chamindu Wickramasinghe coming in from Sri Lanka in place of Dashun Shanaka.
There was only one change in Sri Lanka’s team while India fielded four changes in their team. Shubam Gill, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar and Khaleel Ahmed replace Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant and Aarshdeep Singh from India.
In the 3rd T20I, India’s score was 137-9 in 20 overs. For India, Shubman Gill scored 39(37), Ryan Parag 26(18) and Washington Sundar 25(18).

From Sri Lanka, Maheesh Theekshana took 3 wickets by giving 28 runs in 4 overs and along with him Wanindu Hasaranga gave 29 runs in 54 overs and took 2 wickets.
Then came Sri Lanka’s batting and Kushal Mendis 43(41) and Kushal Perera 46(34) helped Sri Lanka reach 137 runs.
For India, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Rinku Singh and Surya Kumar Yadav took 2 wickets each. Importantly, despite both Siraj and Khaleel having an over to spare, Surya Kumar and Rinku came to bowl and Both also got 2 wickets.
Then in the super over, Washinton Sunder was given an over from India, he gave 2 runs in 3 balls and got 2 wickets.
And in the super over from India, Surya Kumar Yadav and Shubhman Gill came in for to bat and Surya Kumar won the first ball by hitting a four.
Due to Washington Sundar’s all-round performance in the 3rd match, he became the player of the match.
Surya Kumar Yadav’s entire T20I series has made him the player of the series.
