Nuwan Thushara Out inda vs sri lanka series

Nuwan Thushara, the Sri Lankan fast bowler, has suffered a broken finger. This injury occurred during a training session and will keep him out of the upcoming T20I series against India. Team manager Mahinda Halangoda confirmed the news, stating that the injury happened while Thushara was fielding.

Although the injury is on his non-bowling hand, it is serious enough to prevent him from playing. This is a significant blow for Sri Lanka, especially since they are also missing Dushmantha Chameera, who is sidelined due to illness.

Thushara has been a key player for Sri Lanka in T20Is. He performed well in the recent T20 World Cup, taking eight wickets in three matches. Earlier this year, he made headlines by taking a hat-trick against Bangladesh, finishing with impressive figures of 5 for 20.

With Thushara out, Sri Lanka has called up Dilshan Madushanka as his replacement. The team will rely on Madushanka and others to step up in Thushara’s absence.

The team’s bowling coach, Chaminda Vaas, will be working closely with the bowlers to help them develop their communication and coordination skills. He will be looking for them to learn from their experiences and to grow as a unit.

Despite these challenges, Sri Lanka remains hopeful for the series. Interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya praised the team’s preparation and training efforts.
